Accept the Highest Ranking Proposal from M & B Products, Incorporated - Request for Proposal (RFP) #17035-DST-DD Milk Products (Business Services Division) | |
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY | |
This solicitation was prepared at the request of the Student Nutrition Services (SNS) Department to establish fixed pricing for milk products. The National School Breakfast/Lunch Program requires that milk be offered as a daily side choice at breakfast and lunch because of its overall nutritional content. The SNS Department desires to increase milk consumption in students through kid-friendly, innovative packaging and great taste. The proposed items were the highest ranked based on an evaluation of district personnel as well as a student-based taste test conducted at John A. Coleman Middle School. The initial term for this agreement shall be from June 14, 2017, through June 13, 2018, and may be renewed for four additional one-year options. There is a 30-day termination for convenience clause included in this contract. This contract will be reviewed and evaluated annually and may be renewed by the Superintendent per terms of the specifications. |

Funds in the amount of $4,500,000 will be available in the 410, Student Nutrition Fund. There is no specific project number assigned for these purchases. As of May 23, 2017, the remaining balance less encumbrances for this line item equal $4,881,141.90. | |
EVALUATION | |
Contract administration or evaluation is performed by the Project Manager (end user) and Procurement Officer who function as a team. Reviews are performed annually or by utilizing an online vendor performance report. Prior to soliciting a new contract, the Contract Administration team must first give consideration to the specifications and supporting data of the expiring contract. | |
