Approve Resolution for Impact Fee Fund Disbursement from the Hillsborough County Board of County Commissioners for Design Professional, Construction Management and Construction of Classroom Additions at Sickles and Robinson High Schools
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
To support student population growth in northwest Hillsborough County and South Tampa, the School Board of Hillsborough County approved the Design Professional and Construction Manager for the classroom additions at both Sickles and Robinson High Schools on May 2, 2017.  The additions will comprise 12 classrooms at each site accommodating 300 student stations:  Sickles High School expansion scheduled to open for the 2017-2018 school year and Robinson High School for the 2018-2019 school year.

Hillsborough County's Consolidated Impact Assessment Program (the Impact Fee Program) requires that the School Board approve a resolution for disbursement of Impact Fee Funds held by Hillsborough County for expenses related to design, construction and capital equipment for new school facilities. Estimated design, construction management, construction and capital equipment for the classroom additions at Sickles and Robinson High Schools is $19,012,800.  By approval of this Resolution, the School Board is requesting to draw funds from the Impact Fee Fund for qualifying expenditures up to $19,012,800.

Upon final project close-out for the classroom additions, the School Board will provide documentation to Hillsborough County for all qualifying expenditures for these projects.

FINANCIAL IMPACT (Budgeted:  Yes)
Funds in the amount of $45,000,000.00 will be available in the Impact Fee Fund currently held by Hillsborough County. For tracking purposes, the project number specific to this agenda item is 8618 and 8619. As of Tuesday, June 27, 2017, the remaining balance less encumbrances for this line item equaled $25,987,200.00.
