Approve the Piggyback of the Agreement Between TBC Retail Group, dba Tire Kingdom, and Duval County Public Schools – Invitation to Bid (ITB) #019-16/CP Fleet Maintenance Service (Business Services) | |
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY | |
If approved, the Transportation Department will be utilizing this contract for preventive maintenance services on support fleet of non-school bus vehicles. The initial term of this contract is from March 1, 2016, through February 28, 2019. This contract may be renewed for up to four additional one-year periods. Hillsborough County Public Schools will commence its use effective June 28, 2017. Piggyback agreements may be terminated at any time. This contract will be reviewed and evaluated annually, and may be renewed by the Superintendent per the terms of the specifications. In accordance with the Florida Department of Education (FLDOE), Purchasing Policy 6A-1.012(6), in lieu of requesting competitive solicitations from three or more sources, district school boards may make purchases at or below the specific prices from contracts awarded by other city or county governmental agencies, or other district school boards. |

Funds in the amount of $50,000 will be available in the Transportation Department budget. For tracking purposes, the project number specific to this agenda item is 5335. As of May 30, 2017, the remaining balance less encumbrances for this line item equaled $346,693.91. | |
EVALUATION | |
Contract administration or evaluation is performed by the Project Manager (end user) and Procurement Officer who function as a team. Reviews are performed annually or by utilizing an online vendor performance report. Prior to soliciting a new contract, the Contract Administration team must first give consideration to the specifications and supporting data of the expiring contract. | |
