Discretionary Lottery Reports (Business Services Division)
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
The 1996 Florida Legislature adopted an amendment to Section 24.121, Florida Statutes, requiring local school districts to make available to the public a report displaying discretionary lottery revenue and expenditures.  For the fiscal year ending June 30, 2017, Hillsborough County Public Schools received and expended $3,596,820.  Lottery funds are used to:  Support the School Improvement Program Develop and implement school improvement plans Enhance existing funding to charter schools

FINANCIAL IMPACT (Budgeted:  Yes)
The district has received and expended $3,596,820 lottery dollars for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2017.
