Approve Agreement for Technical Services with the Curriculum Planning Learning Management System (CPALMS) Team at the Learning Systems Institute/Florida State University (FSU)  (Office of Teaching and Learning)
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
As a component of the Math/Science Partnership Grant, Hillsborough County Public Schools (HCPS) and Polk County Public Schools have created 48 integrative Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics (STEM) lessons for grades K-8 that will be submitted to the Florida Department of Education lesson repository, CPALMS.  

As the provider, FSU shall perform the following activities satisfactorily, competently, and professionally in relation to HCPS goals: 
  •  Set up the review process for the collection for the CPALMS Team to process reviews of the lessons
  •  Set up a collection page to organize, track, and credit the project that created the lessons
  •  Review up to 48 lesson plans and publish all the resources that pass the review process
  •  Conduct accessibility tests for Section 508 Compliance on all resources and adjust them to pass the tests
  •  Provide feedback for the resources that need modifications
  •  Will only publish the resources that are approved through the review process
  •  Provide necessary CPALMS training, in particular for submitting and revising the resources

FINANCIAL IMPACT (Budgeted:  Yes)
Funds in the amount of $43,760 will be available in the Math Science Partnership Grant.  For tracking purposes, the project number specific to this agenda item is 3138.  As of August 8, 2017, the remaining balance less encumbrances for this line item equaled $43,760.
EVALUATION
An evaluation of the effectiveness of lessons is being conducted through field testing and vetting of the lesson plans.
