Approve Reorganization of the Operations Division and Redirection for the District Safety Office  REVISED ATTACHMENTS
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
In an effort to streamline division operations to increase efficiency and effectiveness, the District Safety Office will be under the direction of the Operations Division.  In addition, the Operations' departments of Communications and Electronics, Facilities Maintenance Support and Growth Management and Planning will undergo minor adjustments in personnel.  This reorganization will be effective September 13, 2017. 

This realignment will bring the majority of non-site based instructional support personnel under one leadership in an effort to support the District's vision.
STRATEGIC OBJECTIVES
• Recruit, support, and retain a highly effective and diverse workforce • Develop, recognize, and reward employees • Continuously improve processes and systems • Establish a strong foundation of financial stewardship • Demonstrate "best practices" in all aspects of safety: student, employee, visitor, facility, transportation, and health • Construct and maintain facilities that create an environment conducive to teaching and learning
FINANCIAL IMPACT (Budgeted:  Yes)
This reorganization will result in a savings to the district of $26,092.93.
