SUBJECT / RECOMMENDATIONS
Recognize the Importance of Faith in Florida's Information Sessions, Leadership Training, and Legal Support for Students, Families, and Staff at the Just Full Service Center District Site (Outreach and School Improvement)
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
Hillsborough County Public Schools and Faith in Florida have a shared mission to empower immigrant communities through civic engagement, education, and outreach, and impact student achievement by providing support to enable students to excel as successful and responsible citizens. Through the Hispanic and Multicultural Outreach efforts, Hispanic/Latino & multicultural immigrant students and their families have the opportunity to elevate their knowledge about their role as community leaders and citizens. Faith in Florida is committed to the students and families in the district by providing leadership training, Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) information sessions and legal support. The Just Full Service Center will host these information sessions at a location accessible to an underserved geographic demographic.  Faith in Florida will provide a Community Leader once a week and information sessions monthly.  There is the potential to expand this to other communities throughout the district.

• Improve the high school graduation rate • Provide a student-centered learning environment that engages every child • Develop a culture of respect, trust, and collaboration • Engage and communicate with families and stakeholders
FINANCIAL IMPACT (Budgeted:  No)
Services and training are provided at no cost to the district, students, or families.
EVALUATION
Faith in Florida provides monthly progress reports, training calendar, outcome and participation data.
