National Association of Charter School Authorizers (NACSA) Evaluation (Chief of Schools)
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
The Hillsborough County Public Schools Charter Office had the opportunity, through the National Association of Charter School Authorizers, to be evaluated on our authorizing practices.  The review consisted of an in-depth assessment of our processes and an analysis of our strengths in order to provide us with priorities for improvement and recommended action steps. This comprehensive review included interviews with Hillsborough County Public Schools' Senior Staff Leaders and Board Members to better understand and assess the district's authorizing practices and to help the Charter Office carry out those practices more effectively. The two-day site visit took place on May 31, 2017 and June 1, 2017. The information collected by the NACSA evaluators with recommendations will be presented during this workshop.
