| Approve the Fieldwork Experience Agreement with Florida Southern College of Nursing and the School Board of Hillsborough County, Florida, for Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner (ARNP) and Registered Nursing (RN) Fieldwork Experience (Student Services Division) | |
| EXECUTIVE SUMMARY | |
| We request approval to enter into an agreement with Florida Southern College of Nursing for ARNP and RN fieldwork experience. Florida Southern College of Nursing requires students enrolled in its ARNP and RN programs to receive fieldwork experience as part of their instruction.
Hillsborough County Public Schools (HCPS) ARNPs and RNs will serve as Preceptors for clinical practice rotation. Learning experiences will be planned by the HCPS ARNPs and RNs in collaboration with the Florida Southern College of Nursing faculty. Nursing students will be accompanied by HCPS ARNPs and RNs as they incorporate students into their normal work schedule. Nursing students will be supervised while they participate in school observations, health screenings, and daily activities in the school clinic. HCPS and Florida Southern College of Nursing faculty will agree upon the number of students, specific dates, and sites before the student's clinical rotation. |
