Authorize the Review by the District to Determine Surplus Real Property
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
Pursuant to applicable law and Board Policy, the Superintendent is authorized to dispose of real property if the Board determines that the real property is unnecessary for educational purposes.  Staff has conducted an initial review and has identified seven (7) pieces of real property that may qualify as surplus property. See attached exhibits.

Staff will perform the following:
  1. For those sites deemed appropriate, obtain two (2) appraisals; and
  2. Perform Castaldi (DOE) analysis and cost benefit analysis;
  3. Review the listed sites to determine if the sites remain suitable for educational proposes;
  4. Review safety conditions and adhere to educational facility construction standards;
  5. If the Superintendent deems appropriate, submit to the Board for approval of resolution to declare property surplus.
