EXECUTIVE SUMMARY | |
As a result of the extension of the elementary social studies adoption to fiscal year 2017/2018, this request is for the purchase of social studies materials for grades K-5. | |

FINANCIAL IMPACT (Budgeted: Yes) | |
Funds in the amount of $598,017.46 will be available in the Part I categorical instructional materials budget. For tracking purposes, the project number specific to this agenda item is 4509. As of October 24, 2017, the remaining balance less encumbrances for this line item equaled $20,936,894.76. | |
EVALUATION | |
The evaluation process for these adopted instructional materials was conducted in accordance with the District's adoption process. These materials are aligned with course standards and have properly served as an effective instructional tool for teachers for the past five years. This request is to extend the adoption one year until a new program is adopted beginning with the 2018/2019 school year. | |
