SUBJECT / RECOMMENDATIONS
Approve Agreement for Technical Services with Prismatic Services, Inc., for the Evaluation of the School Climate Transformation Grant Project (Office of Strategy Management)
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
The School Climate Transformation grant project's purpose is to expand and enhance the school-level implementation of the Multi-Tiered System of Support:  Behavior (MTSS:B).  This agenda item approves evaluator services for the annual grant project for the 2017/2018 school year, the fourth continuation year of the project, in compliance with funding agency requirements.  Grant evaluation services include the following:  evaluation design assistance, data analysis, and a comprehensive Annual Performance Evaluation Report.

FINANCIAL IMPACT (Budgeted:  Yes)
Funds in the amount of $37,500 will be available in the School Climate Transformation Evaluation Grant, Special Revenue Fund.  For tracking purposes, the project number specific to this agenda item is 3311.  As of October 25, 2017, the remaining balance less encumbrances for this line item equaled $37,500.
EVALUATION
The Office of Strategy Management has direct supervision of the selected external evaluator, oversees the evaluation activities, tracks progress, and ensures reporting compliance as well as transmission of all required reports to the funding agency.  An external evaluation is required for this grant.  Funds are allocated in the budget specifically to contract with an external evaluator to assess program activities and impacts.
