EXECUTIVE SUMMARY | |
Chrysalis is a comprehensive behavioral healthcare agency that serves people of all ages throughout South Florida. The Chrysalis team consists of over 450 dedicated members including therapists, counselors, psychologists, psychiatrists, administrators, and support staff. Chrysalis serves children, adolescents, and families in multiple settings including schools, homes, and clinics. Upon approval of this agreement, Chrysalis and Hillsborough County Public Schools (HCPS) will develop a rich partnership designed to meet the mental health needs of HCPS students. The agreement will establish a framework for collaboration that will provide targeted students access to school-based interventions. Elementary, middle, and high schools will be identified based on the needs of the students and the capacity to serve the identified needs. Interventions will be provided as needed to students and their families and will include screening and assessment; counseling at school and home; fostering family involvement and group counseling services; coordination of health/medical care and psychiatric services; assistance with managing symptoms; education and skill-building for youth; and linkages to additional community resources. |
