Accept the Piggyback of the Agreement Between Various Vendors and the State of Florida Department of Management Services (DMS) - Agreement #55101500-17-ACS, Library Materials (Business Services Division) | |
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY | |
If approved, Hillsborough County Public Schools will be utilizing the DMS agreement to purchase library books, library materials, audio books, web-based library products, DVDs, and eBooks to be used in school media centers. The term of the DMS contract is for three years beginning August 7, 2017, through May 31, 2020, and may be renewed up to four years. The District will commence its use December 6, 2017. Piggyback agreements may be terminated at any time. This contract will be reviewed and evaluated annually and may be renewed by the Superintendent, per the terms of the specifications. Florida Department of Education rule 6A-1.012 and district policy allow purchases from contracts awarded by other government agencies, district schools boards, DMS, etc., at below specified prices. |

Funds in the amount of $474,000 will be available in various school and department budgets including Library Media funds, Title 1 grant funds, and schools' internal accounts. Because this product is ordered districtwide, there is not one project number assigned to these purchases. | |
EVALUATION | |
Contract administration and evaluation is performed by the Project Manager (the "End User") and the Procurement Officer, who function as a team, by utilizing an online vendor performance report or via in-person reviews. The evaluation consists of an assessment of the vendor-provided goods and services, deliverables, and compliance with contractual requirements. The resulting data will support renewal decisions and/or alterations to a new agreement. | |
