Approve Award of Contract for Sunshades Over Playcourts/Playgrounds
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

This bid was prepared to establish catalog pricing discounts and installation costs to streamline the process for purchase and installation of sunshades.  The scope includes design, manufacturing, permitting and installation of a variety of sunshades.  Previously, District staff issued a separate minor project solicitation for each and every required installation.

District staff developed specifications for the sunshades and installation services, and solicited bids.  Award of contract to the lowest responsive, responsible bidder is recommended, as indicated in Attachment A.  The contract term is one year, effective March 7, 2018.

• Establish a strong foundation of financial stewardship • Demonstrate "best practices" in all aspects of safety: student, employee, visitor, facility, transportation, and health • Construct and maintain facilities that create an environment conducive to teaching and learning
FINANCIAL IMPACT (Budgeted:  No)
Funding for these sunshades is typically provided by non-district funds collected by schools.  Because this product is ordered district-wide, there is not one project number assigned to these purchases.
