Approve the Piggyback of Agreement #R150505 Between Daikin Applied and National IPA for the Purchase and Installation of Replacement Cooling Towers at Freedom High School | |
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY | |
An urgent requirement exists to replace out of service cooling towers serving the heating, ventilating and air conditioning (HVAC) cooling plant at Freedom High and Liberty Middle Schools. District staff has elected to utilize National IPA contract piggyback (Attachment A) to expedite equipment delivery. Daikin Applied and National IPA confirms the terms of this agreement (Attachment B). Florida Department of Education (FLDOE) Rule 6A-1.012 allows purchase from contracts awarded by other government agencies, district school boards, Department of Management Services (DMS), etc., at or below specified prices. |

Funds in the amount of $412,086.00 will be available in the millage fund. For tracking purposes, the project number specific to this agenda item is 8200. As of Friday, February 9, 2018, the remaining balance less encumbrances for this line item equaled $412,086.00. | |
EVALUATION | |
Evaluation of each installation is accomplished by the District's project administrator and code inspector. | |
