Hillsborough County has been working with district staff to coordinate and memorialize the inventory of County assets on School Board owned sites through a master agreement. The attached Lease, Management and Operating Agreement between the School Board of Hillsborough County, Florida and the Hillsborough County Board of County Commissioners (BOCC) would provide the overall working agreement between the County and School Board to stipulate operating and maintenance responsibilities; conditions of proposed improvements to the school properties to accommodate County programs; and terms of any County proposed third party users. Upon execution of this Agreement, the School Board delegates its authority to the Superintendent or his/her designee to approve additional sites and proposed third-party user agreements presented by the County. This agreement is intended to reflect a working relationship that may change on an as needed basis.

The Initial Term of the Agreement will be twenty-five (25) years from the effective date of the signature. The Agreement is scheduled for consideration by the BOCC on April 4, 2018. This Agreement has been reviewed and approved by School Board legal counsel as to form and sufficiency.

Approval of the Management and Operating Agreement between the School Board of Hillsborough County and the Hillsborough County Board of County Commissioners will have no financial impact to the School Board.
