Approve Acceptance of Project for the Parking Expansion at Steinbrenner High School | |
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY | |
On April 15, 2015, the Board approved the acquisition of the D&D Academy property located adjacent to Steinbrenner High School on Lutz Lake Fern Road to provide a site for additional safe and secure parking for the school. A previously approved District Facilities Five Year Work Program provided funding for the parking addition. On May 10, 2016, the Board appointed Alto Construction Co., Inc. to provide construction management services.
District staff selected Kisinger Campo & Associates, Corp. from the approved Continuing Services Consultants list to provide design services. The scope of work provided for demolition of the existing building (deemed unnecessary for educational purposes) and construction of a new parking lot, including associated stormwater management facilities and site lighting. The project provided 177 additional student parking spaces for the school.
The design professional has certified that the work is complete in accordance with the plans and specifications and other contract documents and recommends Board Acceptance. |

Funds in the amount of $740,865.09 will be available in the Local Millage fund. For tracking purposes, the project number specific to this agenda item is 8129. As of Monday, March 5, 2018, the remaining balance less encumbrances for this line item equaled $10,107.23.
