A previously approved District Facilities Five Year Work Program provides for heating, ventilating and air conditioning (HVAC) renovation at Morgan Woods Elementary School. On September 19, 2017, the Board appointed Ossi Consulting Engineers, Inc. and Gilbane Building Company to provide design and construction management services. The project scope consists of the replacement of chiller plants, including system piping, air handling unit (AHU), ductwork, controls, test and balance, and demolition to include assistance in the assessment of salvageable equipment and the recovery of refrigerant.

Approve Construction Documents and Guaranteed Maximum Price (GMP) for Heating, Ventilating and Air Conditioning (HVAC) System Replacement at Morgan Woods Elementary School
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
A previously approved District Facilities Five Year Work Program provides for heating, ventilating and air conditioning (HVAC) renovation at Morgan Woods Elementary School. On September 19, 2017, the Board appointed Ossi Consulting Engineers, Inc. and Gilbane Building Company to provide design and construction management services. The project scope consists of the replacement of chiller plants, including system piping, air handling unit (AHU), ductwork, controls, test and balance, and demolition to include assistance in the assessment of salvageable equipment and the recovery of refrigerant. Approval of the Guaranteed Maximum price (GMP) will establish the cost for the project. Project completion is scheduled for August 3, 2018.

FINANCIAL IMPACT (Budgeted: Yes)
Funds in the amount of $1,754,255.00 will be available in the Sales Tax Revenue fund. For tracking purposes, the project number specific to this agenda item is 8200. As of Wednesday, April 25, 2018, the remaining balance less encumbrances for this line item equaled $1,525,280.40. The Guaranteed Maximum Price recommended for approval is $1,534,664.
