Approve the Agreement with the Agency for Community Treatment Services, Inc. (ACTS) (Educational Access, Opportunity, and Alternatives) | |
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY | |
ACTS provides an array of services for dependent and delinquent youth. Hillsborough County Public Schools provides a portable, a dropout prevention teacher, and a teacher's aide to deliver educational services to approximately 20 students who are assigned by the courts to the ACTS residential drug treatment program. ACTS provides an appropriate site for the program and support personnel. | |

This program is supported by Full-Time Equivalency funds and is included in the 2017/2018 General Fund budget. Approximate expenditures for 2016/2017 were $97,414. For tracking purposes, the project number specific to this agenda item is 4679. | |
EVALUATION | |
This program is evaluated annually by Youth Services department staff based on a model developed by the Juvenile Justice Educational Enhancement Program. A review will be completed by June 30, 2019. | |
