SUBJECT / RECOMMENDATIONS
Approve the Agreement with Sequel TSI of Florida, LLC (Educational Access, Opportunity, and Alternatives)
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
Sequel TSI of Florida, LLC, contracts with the Department of Juvenile Justice to provide a residential commitment program for juveniles under the supervision of the Department of Juvenile Justice at the Columbus Juvenile Residential Facility (JRF).  The Columbus JRF is a 50-bed facility for boys who have committed non-violent sexual offenses. 

The district must provide educational services to these clients, and these services are provided on site due to the students being incarcerated.
STRATEGIC OBJECTIVES
• Improve the high school graduation rate • Provide a student-centered learning environment that engages every child • Develop a culture of respect, trust, and collaboration • Continuously improve processes and systems • Demonstrate "best practices" in all aspects of safety: student, employee, visitor, facility, transportation, and health
FINANCIAL IMPACT (Budgeted:  Yes)
EVALUATION
This program is evaluated annually by Youth Services department staff based on a model developed by the Juvenile Justice Educational Enhancement Program.  This review will be completed by June 30, 2019.
