Approve License Agreement Between the School Board of Hillsborough County and the State of Florida Department of Health for 44 Parking Spaces in Lot III Leased by the School Board from the Tampa-Hillsborough County Expressway Authority

The State of Florida Department of Health reached out to the School District to assist them with parking needs for their employees located at 1105 East Kennedy Boulevard, Tampa.  The School Board of Hillsborough County leases three individual parking lots from the Tampa-Hillsborough County Expressway Authority for employee parking at the Raymond O. Shelton School Administrative Center.  The Lease allows the District to enter into a license agreement for spaces and some have become available.

The Health Department will have use of 44 spaces in Lot III located adjacent to the Rampello Downtown Parking Garage at a rate of $40.00 per space; $1,760 monthly.  The term will run concurrent with the District's lease term with the Expressway Authority.  The License Agreement will commence on June 6, 2018 and terminate on May 7, 2020. 

Approval of the License Agreement between the School Board of Hillsborough County and the State of Florida Department of Health for 44 parking spaces on Lot III will generate revenue of $21,120 annually; the District pays $66,477.55 annually for 181 spaces.
