EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
On May 7, 2013, the Board approved a five-year Agreement to purchase the Agile Mind Algebra Program.  Agile Mind proposes to provide 3,815 students with its Intensified Algebra I program and 4,113 students with its Algebra program. The Algebra I course provides teacher resources and a rigorous curriculum to engage students in preparation for higher mathematics.  Intensified Algebra I helps students who are significantly behind become successful in Algebra within one academic year.

In accordance with the Florida Department of Education (FLDOE) Purchasing Policy 6A-1.012(12)(d), commodities or contractual services available only from a single source may be exempted from the competitive solicitation requirements. When a district school board believes that commodities or contractual services are available only from a single source as specified by the FLDOE, the district school board may negotiate on the best terms and conditions with the single source vendor. Agile Mind Assessments help educators assess the progress of instruction, identify their students’ understanding relative to standards and central concepts, as well as their gaps in learning, in the subjects of middle school and high school mathematics.
