Due to fire damage, wind bracing the existing exterior walls are required at Lee Elementary School. District staff selected Master Consulting Engineers, Inc. and HCBECK, LTD (dba The Beck Group) from the approved Continuing Services Consultants list to provide design and construction management services. The project scope consists of the construction of bracing to support the existing exterior brick walls at Lee Elementary School to protect them against windstorm and selected demolition activities.

Approval of the Guaranteed Maximum Price (GMP) will establish the cost for the project.

Project completion is scheduled for August 3, 2018.

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
Due to fire damage, wind bracing the existing exterior walls are required at Lee Elementary School. FINANCIAL IMPACT (Budgeted: Yes)
Funds in the amount of $830,802.00 will be available in the Local Millage fund. For tracking purposes, the project number specific to this agenda item is 5312. As of Tuesday, May 29, 2018, the remaining balance less encumbrances for this line item equaled $812,802.00. The Guaranteed Maximum Price recommended for approval is $800,802.
