A previously approved District Facilities Five Year Work Program provided for replacement of kitchen hoods at Ballast Point, Broward, Lomax, and Gorrie Elementary and Webb Middle School, and replacement of the kitchen hood and selected HVAC RTUs at McLane Middle School. At Gorrie, Lomax and McLane, the kitchen and cafeteria roof surrounding the equipment also required replacement. District staff combined the requirements into a single project and selected Phoenix Engineering Group, Inc. and Kenyon & Partners, Inc. from the approved Continuing Services Consultants list to provide design and construction management services.

The design professional has certified that the work is now fully complete in accordance with the plans and specifications and other contract documents and recommends Board acceptance.

Approve Acceptance of Project for Roof and Kitchen Hood and Heating, Ventilating and Air Conditioning Roof Top Unit (HVAC RTU) Replacements at Six Sites (Ballast Point, Broward, Lomax, McLane, Gorrie, Webb)
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
A previously approved District Facilities Five Year Work Program provided for replacement of kitchen hoods at Ballast Point, Broward, Lomax, and Gorrie Elementary and Webb Middle School, and replacement of the kitchen hood and selected HVAC RTUs at McLane Middle School. At Gorrie, Lomax and McLane, the kitchen and cafeteria roof surrounding the equipment also required replacement. District staff combined the requirements into a single project and selected Phoenix Engineering Group, Inc. and Kenyon & Partners, Inc. from the approved Continuing Services Consultants list to provide design and construction management services. As of Monday, August 20, 2018, the remaining balance less encumbrances for this line item equaled $167,381.97.
