SUBJECT / RECOMMENDATIONS
Approve the Amendment to the Training Provider Agreement with Tampa Bay WorkForce Alliance, Inc. d/b/a CareerSource Tampa Bay - 2018/2019 (Workforce Connections)
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
The purpose of this amendment is to separate the Dual Branding of the CareerSource Contract Agreement into two separate organizations; CareerSource Tampa Bay and CareerSource Pinellas.  At the onset of this agreement, CareerSource decided to “Dual Brand” the Tampa Bay CareerSource with Pinellas CareerSource into one contract.  After careful consideration, CareerSource has made the decision to separate the organizations to allow each to operate as a stand-alone entity.

This amendment to the original agreement continues the partnership with the local workforce board through the Workforce Innovation Opportunity Act (WIOA), previously known as the Workforce Investment Act.  WIOA funds support eligible adult students enrolled in Postsecondary Adult Vocational programs by providing tuition, books, supplies, industry certification/licensure exams, and other related educational fees.  Programs for which WIOA funds may sponsor students must lead to occupations included on the current Demand Occupations List.
STRATEGIC OBJECTIVES
• Provide a student-centered learning environment that engages every child
