The Employee Benefits Annual Open Enrollment window for 2019 begins Wednesday, September 19, 2018 and ends Thursday, September 27, 2018. There will be one Benefits Education and Health Fair that employees/retirees/dependents (members) may attend:
The main health benefits change noted for 2019 is the use of a narrow network pharmacy. In an effort to reduce premium increases, starting on January 1, 2019, the participating major retail pharmacies will be: CVS (including Target locations), Publix, Sam’s Club, and Walmart. Walgreens will no longer be a participating pharmacy. Members are encouraged to begin transferring their prescriptions to a participating pharmacy as soon as they can. This narrower pharmacy network is projected to save the district and employees $2.6 million in 2019. There are some independent pharmacies in the network, and members are encouraged to use the Pharmacy Locator tool at humana.com. In addition to the enrollment event at Jefferson High School, employees can find enrollment information by reading their 2019 Annual Enrollment Guide, visiting the enrollment website, watching the enrollment video, and/or by calling the Humana Hotline at (888) 393-6765. (Enrollment guides also are available in Spanish; Employee Benefits personnel who speak Spanish will be available at our Benefits Education and Health Fair.) Employees and retirees can make their 2019 benefit elections in one of two easy ways:
