EXECUTIVE SUMMARY | |
If approved, Hillsborough County Public Schools will piggyback the School Board of Pinellas County's agreement with Red Hawk Fire & Security, Inc. The piggyback of this agreement will provide the labor, materials, and all necessary equipment to test, inspect, repair, and install fire alarms systems at various locations districtwide, as needed. The initial term of this contract was for a 5-year term beginning July 1, 2018, through June 30, 2023, with a 5-year renewal option. If approved, Hillsborough County Public Schools will commence its use effective October 3, 2018. Piggyback agreements may be terminated at any time. This contract will be reviewed and evaluated annually and may be renewed by the Superintendent, per the terms of the specifications. |

Estimated expenditures in the amount of $60,000 will be available in the Safety and Risk Management Department budget for 2018/2019. For tracking purposes, the project number specific to this agenda item is 6749. As of September 13, 2018, the remaining balance less encumbrances for this line item equaled $79,616. | |
EVALUATION | |
Contract administration and evaluation is performed by the Project Manager (the "End User") and the Procurement Officer, who function as a team, by utilizing an online vendor performance report or via in-person reviews. The evaluation consists of an assessment of the vendor-provided goods and services, deliverables, and compliance with contractual requirements. The resulting data will support renewal decisions and/or alterations to a new agreement. | |
