Approve the Annual Master Inservice Plan Update Letter to the Florida Department of Education Commissioner (Leadership, Professional Development, and School Transformation)
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
Florida State Statute 1012.98 (4)(b)(4) mandates that all districts have a Master Inservice Plan for inservice activities and requires this plan to be approved by the local School Board annually.  In addition, an annual update must be submitted to the State Board of Education and written verification must be submitted annually to the Florida Department of Education Commissioner.  This agenda item requests approval for the Director of Professional Development to submit the required update letter and verification.

• Improve the high school graduation rate • Provide a student-centered learning environment that engages every child • Recruit, support, and retain a highly effective and diverse workforce
FINANCIAL IMPACT (Budgeted:  Yes)
Due to this item being for the entire Master Inservice Plan, there is no financial impact to the district.  Funds for professional development opportunities are allocated from multiple division budgets.
EVALUATION
Course evaluations are completed at the conclusion of each training.  The results of the evaluations will be captured through the Professional Development System (PDS).  Feedback from facilitators is used to continuously revise and update the course content.
