Approve the Agreement for Technical Services with Increase, LLC (Leadership, Professional Development, and School Transformation)
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
Michael Moore of Increase, LLC, will provide professional development and coaching to school and district leaders involved in the Hillsborough Executive Leadership Academy (HELA).  The contract involves two full days of professional development and two face-to-face executive coaching sessions as well as continuous e-mentoring for all 14 participants.

The purpose of HELA is to bring together high performing and impactful Hillsborough County Public Schools' (HCPS) leaders who believe in equity and excellence for all students, and provide them with an opportunity to learn from experts, research, and each other in order to solve critical issues and problems facing public education and urban districts today.  HELA participants are preparing for future roles in district leadership or principal supervision.

FINANCIAL IMPACT (Budgeted:  Yes)
Funds in the amount of $19,600 will be available in the Title II budget.  For tracking purposes, the project number specific to this agenda item is 8589.  As of August 21, 2018, the remaining balance less encumbrances for this line item equaled $30,200.
EVALUATION
Mr. Moore is a national consultant with Urban Schools Human Capital Academy, Darden/Curry Partnership for Leaders in Education at UVA, Education Pioneers, and EdFuel.  In 2018/2019, he is working with over ten districts to identify, develop, and support leaders to improve equity, inclusion, and voice in the education reform sector.  He spends a great deal of time coaching senior executives and their leadership teams.  Mr. Moore worked with HCPS at the start of the Principal Pipeline initiative.  He was instrumental in developing the succession planning and hiring processes as well as the selection systems for entering Future Leader Academy and Preparing New Principals.  The systems are still used today.  His work was of high quality and able to be sustained over time.  The effectiveness of HELA will be measured through participant satisfaction surveys and post-assessments measuring participant growth from the entry assessment to the exit.
