SUBJECT / RECOMMENDATIONS
Approve the Piggyback of the Agreement Between Pace Analytical Services, LLC, and Lake County, Florida - Request for Proposal (RFP) #17-0823 Analytical Laboratory Services (Business Services Division)
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
Through this agreement, Pace Analytical Services, LLC, will provide laboratory services to analyze district water samples for traces of lead.  These tests will comply with regulations of the Florida Department of Environmental Protection and the United States Environmental Protection Agency. The initial term of this contract was for a 36 month term beginning January 22, 2018, with two additional 1-year renewal options. If approved, Hillsborough County Public Schools will commence its use effective October 3, 2018. Piggyback agreements may be terminated at any time. This contract will be reviewed and evaluated annually and may be renewed by the Superintendent, per the terms of the specifications.

FINANCIAL IMPACT (Budgeted:  Yes)
Funds in the amount of $183,386 will be available in the Maintenance Department budget for 2018/2019. For tracking purposes, the project number specific to this agenda item is 8626. As of September 12, 2018, the remaining balance and encumbrances for this project equaled $183,386.
EVALUATION
Contract administration and evaluation is performed by the Project Manager (the "End User") and the Procurement Officer, who function as a team, by utilizing an online vendor performance report or via in-person reviews. The evaluation consists of an assessment of the vendor-provided goods and services, deliverables, and compliance with contractual requirements. The resulting data will support renewal decisions and/or alterations to a new agreement.
