Recognition of Student Nutrition Services' Chef Vanessa Marquis (Operations) | |
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY | |
The Student Nutrition Department’s Core Catering Service is led by Chef Vanessa Marquis, Certified Executive Chef (CEC). We are extremely proud of Chef Vanessa, not only for her contributions to Core Catering, but for her recent appointment to the American Culinary Federation's (ACF) Culinary Olympic USA Team, 2020! Vanessa is one of only eight individuals in the United States chosen for the team; however, she is the only chef working within a public school setting! Competing against 59 other nations over a three-day period, the team will present a variety of culinary creations to some of the world's most renowned Chefs, who will serve as judges for the event. The Student Nutrition Team supports Chef Vanessa’s efforts to “Go for the Gold” in 2020! |
