According to Florida Statute 1013.28, on October 17, 2017, the School Board of Hillsborough County, Florida, authorized the Superintendent to dispose of real property if said property was deemed surplus and unnecessary for educational purposes. District staff has identified School Board property located at Gunn Highway and Donna Lu Drive, Odessa, Florida (folio 1916.0110) as surplus and is no longer required for educational purposes. On October 16, 2018, the School Board approved Spot Survey 4.11 recommending the disposition of the 20+/- acre vacant property as required by the Florida Department of Education.

Approve the School Board of Hillsborough County, Florida, Resolution Declaring Property Located at the Southwest Corner of Gunn Highway and Donna Lu Drive, Odessa, Florida, as Surplus Property and Deemed Unnecessary for Educational Purposes
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
According to Florida Statute 1013.28, on October 17, 2017, the School Board of Hillsborough County, Florida, authorized the Superintendent to dispose of real property if said property was deemed surplus and unnecessary for educational purposes. District staff has identified School Board property located at Gunn Highway and Donna Lu Drive, Odessa, Florida (folio 1916.0110) as surplus and is no longer required for educational purposes. On October 16, 2018, the School Board approved Spot Survey 4.11 recommending the disposition of the 20+/- acre vacant property as required by the Florida Department of Education. This Resolution authorizes the Superintendent and district staff to move forward with the disposition of the vacant property at Gunn Highway and Donna Lu Drive, (folio 1916.0110) using independent property appraisals to establish fair market value and accept offers to purchase.
