SUBJECT / RECOMMENDATIONS
Approve the School Board of Hillsborough County, Florida, Resolution Declaring Property on 12th and Waters Avenue, Tampa, FL, at Sulphur Springs K-8 School, as Surplus Property
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
According to Florida Statute 1013.28, on October 17, 2017, the School Board of Hillsborough County, Florida, authorized the Superintendent to dispose of real property if said property was deemed surplus and unnecessary for educational purposes.  District staff has identified School Board property located two vacant lots on the campus of Sulphur Springs K-8 School on corner of 12th and Waters Avenue (a portion of Folio # 144926.0000), as surplus and is no longer required for educational purposes. 

This Resolution authorizes the Superintendent and district staff to move forward with the disposition of the property on 12th and Waters Avenue, using independent property appraisals to establish fair market value and accept offers to purchase.

Approval of the School Board of Hillsborough County Resolution declaring vacant property located at 12th & Waters Avenue, Tampa, FL (a portion of Folio# 144926.0000), as surplus property and deemed unnecessary for educational purposes will have no financial impact to the School Board.
