Approve Third Modification to the Agreement Between Hillsborough County and the School Board of Hillsborough County for Use of School Buildings as Public Shelters During Times of Declared Emergencies |

| EXECUTIVE SUMMARY | |
In 2001, the School Board of Hillsborough County, Florida, a body corporate and the Hillsborough County Board of County Commissioners entered into an agreement to use certain School Board buildings as public shelters during times of declared emergencies. This Agreement has been modified in 2002 and 2015 to continue to clarify and expand the use of schools for emergency situations.
This Third Modification relates to the installation of emergency generators and related improvements at various school locations to be used as "family shelters" and to make improvements to other high use shelters/schools to make them generator-ready. Budgeted funds will be reimbursed to the School Board from Hillsborough County under CIP No. C77841000, up to $3,838,918 covering both construction and administrative costs incurred by Hillsborough County Public Schools.
The Third Modification will be presented to the Board of County Commissioners on November 8, 2018, for review and approval. |

Funds for the modifications, enhancements or retrofits to School Board of Hillsborough County schools and/or facilities to make them generator-ready as family shelters during times of declared emergencies will be reimbursement by Hillsborough County under CIP No. C7784100, with an amount not to exceed $3,838,918.
