Approve the Advertisement of the Board's Intent to Adopt New and Revised Policies (Government Relations) (Revision on Policy 6320.02) | |
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY | |
To meet with the requirements of Florida Statute Chapter 120, the Government Relations Division seeks approval to advertise proposed new and revised policies. These policies were provided to and discussed by the School Board at the September 4, 2018 workshop. The policies attached reflect the work completed at that meeting. The Notice of Rulemaking is expected to be listed in the Florida Sentinel Bulletin, La Gaceta, the Osprey Observer, and the Tampa Bay Times. The posted notice will be open for 21 days for public comment. Any person who wishes to provide a comment should submit a written request to the Superintendent within 21 days of the posted notice. Upon approval and after proper advertisement, the Board will be asked to formally approve the policies. |

Funds in the amount of $750.00 will be available in the 9240. For tracking purposes, the project number specific to this agenda item is 9999. As of Wednesday, December 5, 2018, the remaining balance less encumbrances for this line item equaled $37.00. Cost for advertising the proposed rules is an estimate until actual language is submitted to the news organizations. Projected cost is based on previous cost, therefore, the remaining balance of project 9999 may vary slightly after rules are advertised. Total dollars allocated for rulemaking for FY 2018 - 2019 is $1500. | |
