Recognition of the 2018 Florida Power-Library Schools Award Recipients (Office of Teaching and Learning)
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
The Florida Power-Library Schools Program is a collaborative effort administered through the Florida Department of Education Library Media Services and the Florida Association of Supervisors of Media.  The program awards statewide recognition to school library programs that enhance student achievement through instruction, curriculum and assessment support, resource management, program administration, environment, and advocacy.  Schools must present evidence of demonstrating outstanding practice with a fully integrative approach to student learning in each of the categories through a competitive, rigorous application process that includes a site visit. We are proud to recognize three schools from Hillsborough County, among the eleven statewide, that were designated as Florida Power-Library Schools at the Florida Association of Media in Education Conference held November 29, 2018.
