Approve Purchase and Sale Agreement for Vacant Property on 12th Street and Waters Avenue, Tampa, FL, at Sulphur Springs K-8 School
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
According to Florida Statute 1013.28, on October 17, 2017, the School Board of Hillsborough County, Florida, authorized the Superintendent to dispose of real property if said property was deemed surplus and unnecessary for educational purposes.  By School Board Resolution, dated December 4, 2018, the School Board has deemed vacant property on 12th Street and Waters Avenue, Tampa, FL, at Sulphur Springs K-8 School, surplus and unnecessary for educational purposes.

The attached purchase and sale agreement is a cash offer of $27,000, which is $3,000 above asking price.  Closing will occur 30 days after School Board ratification of the purchase contract.

FINANCIAL IMPACT (Budgeted:  No)
At the final real estate closing for vacant property at Sulphur Springs K-8 School, Tampa, FL, the School Board of Hillsborough County will realize $25,920 +/-, after real estate brokerage commission of 4% less normal closing costs and legal fees.
