Recognition of Magnet Schools of America (MSA), Merit Award Winners (Chief of Schools) | |
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY | |
On May 7, 2016, 21 magnet schools received Merit School Awards in 2 categories at the MSA 33rd National Conference in Miami, Florida. MSA awards Magnet Schools of Excellence and Magnet Schools of Distinction based on "commitment to high academic standards, curriculum innovation, successful desegregation/diversity efforts, and the consistent delivery of quality services to all school stakeholders."
In addition, Riverhills Elementary Magnet School was awarded with the New and Emerging Magnet School of Merit, as the top new magnet school in the nation. Muller Elementary Magnet School was awarded with the Dr. Donald Waldrip award, as the second overall magnet school in the nation. Hillsborough County Public Schools has been recognized more than 175 times by the MSA organization. |
