EXECUTIVE SUMMARY | |
This outreach program is funded by Title I. The consultant will conduct an assessment and collaborate with school leadership to determine a specific focus for mentoring. The program will serve 50-60 students per cohort for a total of up to 120 students. The consultant will provide all materials, one make-up session, graduation ceremony, videography, and two follow-up visits near the end of the school year. | |

Funds in the amount of $12,000 will be available in the Title I account. For tracking purposes, the project number specific to this agenda item is 3595. As of November 16, 2018, the remaining balance less encumbrances for this line item equaled $12,000. | |
EVALUATION | |
The administrations of Brandon High School and Burnett Middle School studied the impressive results of Dr. Javar Godfrey's program at Brandon EPIC3 Center. This program was instilled when Dr. Godfrey worked at Brandon EPIC as a social worker. The program addresses mentoring, social media issues, bullying, and even financial awareness for students. The positive results impacted student learning, discipline, and school culture at Brandon EPIC. | |
