Approve the New Job Description for Aide, Exceptional Student Education Unique Needs (Academic Support and Federal Programs)
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
This job description is being created to outline the duties of the existing position, Aide, Exceptional Student Education (ESE) Unique Needs (job code 56472).  The Aide, ESE Unique Needs, position is temporary and based on the needs of individual students and/or classrooms.  This job description reflects adjustments to the scope of work needed to support classrooms and students with disabilities.   The allocation of this position is based on supports that are required for students and is documented in the Individual Educational Plan (IEP).  This positon provides supports to students with disabilities in both general education and ESE classrooms.

These positions are fully funded through the federal funding source of the IDEA (Individuals with Disabilities Education Act) grant.  These positions are temporary and paid at an hourly rate, which ranges between $10.56 and $16.66 an hour.
