Approve the Agreement for Technical Services with PEAK Learning Systems for Professional Development at Chamberlain High School (Chief of Schools) | |
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY | |
PEAK Learning Systems will provide intensive training and coaching on engagement strategies for students from poverty. PEAK will assist teachers in creating a positive, engaging, and highly rigorous classroom environment. This consultation will be an extension of a poverty simulation provided by the Hillsborough County Public Schools' Title I Department. | |

Funds in the amount of $29,500 will be available in the School Improvement Grant. For tracking purposes, the project number specific to this agenda item is 3367. As of December 10, 2018, the remaining balance less encumbrances for this line item equaled $77,400. | |
EVALUATION | |
We expect to see an increase in student achievement based on Florida Standards Assessments and End-of-Course Assessments scores for 2019/2020. In the short term, the leadership team will collect observation data on student engagement and the use of tools provided by PEAK Learning Systems. | |
