Approve the Agreement for Technical Services with JGB Tech Consulting for Lawson Application Programming Support (Business Services Division)
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
Information Technology professional services are needed to assist in upgrading the district’s Infor, Inc. Enterprise Resources Planning (ERP) software and adding the Workforce Management Time and Attendance solution. The additional support is specifically needed to modify district developed custom programs. Staff retirements and resignations of key skillset individuals have reduced the available staff resources for these necessary services. JGB Tech Consulting will provide a consultant that was one of the original programmers who created the customized programs for our district. Their rate is $80 per hour as compared to Infor’s Technology Specialist III rate of $210 per hour. The resulting cost avoidance is $62,400.

Funding in the amount of $38,400 is available from the Information Technology Budget to cover this expense.
EVALUATION
The consultant is under the direct supervision of the Department Manager, IT Business Solutions within the Information Technology Department, who assigns and reviews tasks and priorities on a continual basis.
