SUBJECT / RECOMMENDATIONS
Approve the Agreement for Technical Services with AdvancED for Training on System Engagement Review (Office of Teaching and Learning)
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
The AdvancED Regional Director and his team will provide onsite customized training sessions and technical assistance to 234 schools to prepare to host our System Engagement Review in the spring of 2020. The System Engagement Review demonstrates that the district has met AdvancED accreditation standards and is engaged in a process of continuous improvement. The training will include: Preparing the System and School Quality Factors Diagnostic and Assurances Diagnostic Introduction to AdvancED new accreditation protocol, the Continuous Improvement Journey, and preparing for the Engagement Review Overview of the new eProve Platform (Surveys, Effective Learning Environments Observation Tool, Diagnostics, and Strategies) Use of eProve Strategies to develop Strategic and/or Continuous Improvement Plans
STRATEGIC OBJECTIVES
• Improve the high school graduation rate
FINANCIAL IMPACT (Budgeted:  Yes)
Funds in the amount of $17,250 are available in the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools project. For tracking purposes, the project number specific to this agenda items is 5333.  As of January 14, 2019, the remaining balance less encumbrances for this project budget equaled $19,100.
EVALUATION
The AdvancED Engagement Review Report will be generated after the engagement review in the spring of 2020.
