EXECUTIVE SUMMARY | |
We request approval of the following Memorandum of Agreements for Air Force Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps (AFJROTC) programs.
Air Force Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps requires The School Board of Hillsborough County, Florida to be the first signature on the Memorandum of Agreements. |

FINANCIAL IMPACT (Budgeted: Yes) | |
AFJROTC programs are sponsored by the United States Air Force in partnership with the school district. Approval of these Memorandum of Agreements will provide for the continued operation of the AFJROTC programs of which a portion of the instructor salary and operating expenses are included in the school district budget. | |
EVALUATION | |
AFJROTC facilities will be evaluated by the United States Air Force and site administrator for compliance. All seven AFJROTC programs will be used by Hillsborough County District students as an integral part of their academic instruction. Every year more than 5,000 students in Hillsborough County Public Schools participate in JROTC programs that are offered in all 27 high schools. The site administrators and cadets deem their involvement in AFJROTC as being valuable in augmenting the educational process to real workforce experience. | |
