SUBJECT / RECOMMENDATIONS
Approve the Agreement for Technical Services with the Tampa Bay Arts and Education Network (TBAE) to Provide Video Broadcast Services (Communications)
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
TBAE will continue operating Hillsborough Schools TV for four months as a Request for Proposal is put forth for web streaming, meeting archiving, closed captioning, and television cablecasting services. The cost will remain the same, at $18,000 per month, with the attached Agreement for Technical Services outlining the services TBAE will continue to provide to the district.  The technical services provided by TBAE are exempt from the bidding process, per Florida Department of Education Rule 6A-1.012(11)(a) Purchasing Policies.

FINANCIAL IMPACT (Budgeted:  Yes)
Funds in the amount of $72,000 will be available in the Communications Department budget. For tracking purposes, the project number specific to this agenda item is 5611. As of January 18, 2019, the remaining balance less encumbrances for this line item equaled $300,100.
EVALUATION
Programming contributes to greater transparency and public awareness of School Board and district meetings and business, academic results for students, and people delivering on our district’s vision of Preparing Students for Life.
