SUBJECT / RECOMMENDATIONS
Approve the Purchase of Quoted Law Enforcement Professional Liability Insurance
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
Hillsborough County Public Schools (HCPS) purchases Professional Liability Insurance coverage for HCPS law enforcement personnel.  The coverage renews November 23, 2016.  The coverage limits will remain at $500,000 each occurrence and $1,000,000 aggregate.  The deductible remains at $250,000 per occurrence.  The renewal premium will be $88,531 (inclusive of all Federal/State mandated fees).

Funds in the amount of $88,531 will be available in the Internal Services Fund (Worker's Compensation).  For tracking purposes, the fund number specific to the Worker's Compensation program is 711.  As of September 30, 2016, the remaining balance less encumbrances for this line item equaled $88,531.
