Approve the Memorandum of Agreement Between Bay Area Charter Foundation, LLC D/B/A Woodmont Charter School for the 21st Century Community Learning Centers (21st CCLC) Grant Project (Academic Support & Federal Programs Division)
 
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
The purpose of the 21st CCLC grant is to create a community learning center that provides academic enrichment opportunities during non-school hours for 120 economically disadvantaged students in grades 3 through 8 at Woodmont Charter School.  Grant-funded activities are designed to help students meet state student standards in core academic subjects such as reading and math. Additionally, students are offered a broad array of enrichment activities that complement their regular academic programs.  Literacy and other educational services are offered to the families of participating children.  The Florida Department of Education requires the district to be the fiscal agent for the grant project.  This is year one of the five-year grant.

Funds in the amount of $299,476.00 will be available in the 21st CCLC Grant. For tracking purposes, the project number specific to this agenda item is 3125. As of Monday, October 3, 2016, the remaining balance less encumbrances for this line item equaled $299,476.00.
EVALUATION
Hillsborough County Public Schools (HCPS) and Woodmont Charter School will collect and provide assessment data to an outside evaluator for the grant.  The outside evaluator will provide a copy of the annual evaluation report and final evaluation report to the HCPS Office of Assessment and Accountability.
