SUBJECT / RECOMMENDATIONS
Approve Increase in Annual Funds for the Purchase of Dual Enrollment Instructional Materials from Hillsborough Community College (HCC) and the University of South Florida (USF) for the 2016/2017 School Year (Office of Teaching and Learning)
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
On June 14, 2016, the School Board approved an estimated $400,000.00 for the 2016/2017 school year to be used for dual enrollment instructional materials.  Due to increased enrollment and newly adopted materials required for HCC courses, funds of $398,991.50 have been expensed to date for the fall term.  It is estimated that an additional $300,000.00 will be needed to cover remaining costs for the 2016/2017 spring and summer terms.

FINANCIAL IMPACT (Budgeted:  Yes)
Funds in the amount of $300,000.00 will be available in the Instructional Materials Categorical General Fund budget. For tracking purposes, the project number specific to this agenda item is 4509. As of Monday, November 7, 2016, the remaining balance less encumbrances for this line item equaled $21,178,885.58. The cost for these materials is estimated based on projected enrollment.
