SUBJECT / RECOMMENDATIONS | |
Approve Land Exchange Agreement Between the Hillsborough County Board of County Commissioners (BOCC) and the School Board of Hillsborough County, Florida for the Junior Achievement Enterprise Village (University Area) Proposed Expansion Site and Stormwater Projects at Springhead Elementary School and Tampa Bay Technical High Schools |
|
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY | |
Junior Achievement Enterprise Village is located on School Board of Hillsborough County, Florida owned land under a License Agreement dated November 1, 2003 at 22nd Street in the University area. Junior Achievement has proposed to expand their current facility onto land owned by the BOCC. As part of the facility construction, Junior Achievement would prefer to have one land owner and licensor. Hillsborough County and school district staff have worked together to form a land conveyance for this parcel from the BOCC to the School Board and the School Board conveying an unrelated parcel of land at Tampa Bay Technical High School at the intersection of Sligh and Orient Roads for retention and grant an easement at Springhead Elementary School for BOCC stormwater drainage projects. These projects would provide improved roadway safety and drainage at both these school campuses. The BOCC and the School Board deem that these projects would benefit citizens and the community and that no monetary consideration would transpire between either party. Closings will occur once final legal descriptions are determined and transactional documents prepared. This Land Exchange Agreement between the BOCC and the School Board is scheduled for consideration on the December 7, 2016 BOCC agenda. |
